Book Cover: The Hobbit

I decided to create book covers for my favourite books. The first one to tackle was The Hobbit. At first, I wanted the Arkenstone to be the centre of the artwork, but decided against it later on. It felt too cold and lifeless as the central piece, which is quite interesting considering the moral of the story being that friendship, loyalty and home are more integral to one's happiness than any treasure.
